Revised Executive Memorandum #25

The President’s Office has issued new directives regarding University Travel to countries with a US Department of State Travel Warning or a CDC Health Warning Level 3. View the full Executive Memorandum.

University Travel – Faculty & Staff travel Paid by UNL Funds

  • If traveling to a country with a US Department of State Travel Warning, travel is permitted.
  • If traveling to a country with a CDC Health Warning Level 3, the traveler must make his/her request to the Chancellor.  The Chancellor will make a recommendation  to the President who will make the decision.  The traveler will be subject to appropriate screening and health monitoring prior to returning to campus.

 

University Travel – Students

  • Not permitted if traveling to a country with a US Department of State Travel Warning, unless a waiver has been granted by the Chancellor and President, following a Review Committee’s recommendation to the Chancellor.
  • Not permitted if traveling to country with a CDC Health Warning Level 3.

 

University Travel –Members of the General Public Paid by UNL Funds

  • Not permitted if traveling to a country with a US Department of State Travel Warning.
  • Not permitted if traveling to a country with a CDC Health Warning Level 3.

 

Non-University Sponsored, Independent Travel – Faculty & Staff

  • If traveling to a country with a CDC Health Warning Level 3, the traveler must report their travel to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs prior to their departure.  The traveler will be subject to appropriate screening and health monitoring prior to returning to campus.
